Types of Diabetes
Even though people often speak of diabetes monolithically, there are several types of diabetes each with different causes and requiring exclusive treatment. All the different types of diabetes comprise a single core problem: the body is not able to fascinate glucose (the sugar that is your body) carried in the blood, which it uses as a foundation of energy. But there are different situations under which this problem is established. Each type of diabetes is serious and can be life threatening if left untreated. It’s important to understand the different types and their effects on your body. There are three types of diabetes: Type 1, Type 2 and gestational diabetes.
Type 1 Diabetes is one of the two chronic types of diabetes. Type 1 is an autoimmune disorder, in which the body’s immune system attacks the pancreas cells responsible for making insulin. Insulin is needed to absorb glucose (sugar), so when you have type 1 diabetes your body kills the cells. This makes the individual to be a type 1 diabetes. Individuals with Type 1 diabetics must take insulin daily and sometimes that must take it throughout the day because if they don’t they can slip into coma and maybe die. Individuals who have this type of diabetes usually have symptoms at an early childhood.
Type 2 Diabetes is another most common and influenced by diet and lifestyle. Type 2 diabetics are either overweight or having family history of diabetics. This type of diabetes is that the body continues to produce insulin but develops a condition know as insulin resistance. This means that they body cannot use its insulin effectively and cells do not absorb glucose. Over time, insulin production will drop off and cause insulin resistance and they you will form what is called type 2 diabetics. The main point of having type 2 diabetics is to make sure that you eat healthier and exercise. Being obesity does not help the situation and it can contribute to a lot of other unhealthy lifestyles.
Gestational Diabetes is another type of diabetics but it is caused during pregnancy. This is a momentary form of diabetes that shows up late in pregnancy and disappears after delivery. Gestational diabetes is generated by mother’s hormones during pregnancy or possibly by a lack of insulin. Women who develop gestational diabetes have up to 60% chance of getting Type 2 diabetes. You can keep from doing this by exercise and good diet.
